About Rotofoam
ROTOFOAM RFM 10 is a high-performance foaming agent masterbatch designed to create fine, uniform microcellular foam structures within polymer products, achieving significant weight reduction while maintaining excellent strength, rigidity, and surface quality. This advanced formulation contains carefully selected additives that release gases through controlled thermal decomposition, ensuring a uniform closed-cell structure and superior foam distribution. Based on endothermic foaming chemistry, it absorbs heat during gas release, improving processing stability, reducing scorch risk, and minimising impact on processing equipment.
The base polymer is polyolefin, ensuring excellent compatibility with a wide range of rotational moulding grades. Its optimised formulation provides consistent density reduction, enhanced thermal insulation, and excellent impact resistance, making it ideal for demanding applications such as large water storage tanks, insulated containers, and other hollow moulded products where lightweight performance and insulation are essential.
Multi-Layer Structure
Outer (First) Layer
White colour polyethylene (UV-stabilised) for weather resistance.
Second Layer
Black coloured polyethylene for added durability and aesthetic appeal.
Third Layer
Polyolefin foam layer for thermal insulation and rigidity.
Inner (Fourth) Layer
White polyethylene layer containing antifungal/antibacterial masterbatch for enhanced hygiene.
